Most people check their hours in three places: a time sheet, a calendar and a spreadsheet. 4Work puts them together. One tap starts the day, and from then on you see your day against its target, your overtime balance, and what is left of your vacation. - Clock in with a tap: Clock in and out on the Today tab, with a Shortcut or, with Pro, automatically when you arrive at or leave one of your places. A Live Activity and a ring in the Dynamic Island run along until the end of your day. - Every day against its target: In Hours each day is a trail of light against its target. Overtime shines, missing hours show in red. Switch between week and month and read the overtime per week and per month. - Vacation, sick days, public holidays: Time off shows vacation taken, planned and still free, a countdown to your next vacation, sick days, time off in lieu and the bridge days worth taking. Public holidays reduce your target automatically. - A timesheet when you need one: Make the monthly timesheet as PDF with a preview, or as CSV. With your name on it and, if you like, lines for signatures. ## Built around the working day. - Time clock: Clock in and out with a tap or a Shortcut. 4Work knows your places: home office, office or your own places with an address. Break rules deduct breaks the way you set them: a break at a fixed time, a window after a number of hours worked, or a deduction when no time is known. Change a break by hand and the rules leave that day alone. - Live Activity, Dynamic Island and widgets: While you are clocked in, a Live Activity shows your day on the Lock Screen, and a ring in the Dynamic Island runs to the end of your day. The Today widget shows working time, target and overtime balance on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen. - Hours: Every day appears as a trail of light against its target: colour is the place, a thin cream line is a break, length is time. Switch between week and month. See the overtime per week and per month, tap a day to correct entries and breaks, and set an optional warning for a daily limit. - Work schedules: Set weekly hours or hours per weekday, and let schedules change over time, for example part-time from March. Each schedule carries its own vacation days. Days before a schedule starts never count as missing hours. - Time off: Vacation taken, planned and still free, with a countdown to your next vacation and your carried-over days. Sick days, time off in lieu and special leave have their own marks. A sick day inside a vacation counts as sick and gives the vacation day back. 4Work points out bridge days worth taking. Public holidays for every German federal state reduce your target automatically; 24 and 31 December can count as half days. - Places and goals: Home office, office or your own places with an address; 4Work picks the right place when you clock in. Set goals such as at least two office days a week or at most 60 % home office a month. 4Work shows your progress, a forecast, and whether the goal is still within reach. - Automatic clock-in and the morning question (Pro): Arrive at the office and you are clocked in, leave and you are clocked out. At home it counts as home office. Or let a notification ask in the morning: “Home office or office?” Answer, and you are clocked in. Each place has its own time windows. - Timesheets: The timesheet of a month as PDF, with a preview before you share it, or as CSV. Your name sits at the top right; signature lines are optional. With Pro, 4Work creates the report of every finished month on its own, and you can create past reports in one go. - Backup and iCloud: 4Work keeps backups on your iPhone, automatically every week, and you can share a backup or restore one. Before a restore, 4Work saves your current data. Your data is kept in your private iCloud. - Shortcuts, appearance, languages: Clock in, clock out, take a break, mark today, ask how long you worked: all available as Shortcuts and for Siri. All your entries, places and goals stay. ## Your working time stays on your devices. 4Work has no account and no server of our own. What you record lives on your iPhone and in your private iCloud. We cannot read it. - No account: you start without signing up. - No server of our own: nothing you enter passes through robspace. - No ads, no analytics, no tracking: no advertising ID, no analytics tools. - Location only on your device: 4Work compares your location with your own places on the device. It keeps no location history. Address lookups use Apple Maps. - Your private iCloud: entries, places and settings are kept in your own iCloud, which robspace cannot access. ## FAQ ### Do I need an account? No. You open the app and start. Your data stays on your iPhone and in your private iCloud. ### Does 4Work track my location all day? No. Without Pro 4Work only uses your location to pre-select the place you are at when you open the app. With Pro and automatic clock-in turned on, iOS tells 4Work when you arrive at or leave one of your places. 4Work keeps no location history and your location is never sent to us. ### What does 4Work cost? The first 30 days are free with every feature, without payment details. After that the time clock, hours, work schedules, time off, your first goal, widgets and Shortcuts stay free. 4Work Pro (monthly subscription, yearly subscription or one-time purchase) adds automatic clock-in, the morning question, exports and monthly reports, and further goals. ### What happens to my data when the trial ends? All your entries, places and goals stay. Only the Pro features switch off until you choose a plan. ### Does 4Work work outside Germany? The time clock, hours, work schedules, time off and goals work everywhere. Public holidays are built in for the 16 German federal states; elsewhere you choose “None” and add days off yourself. The hint at a 10-hour day refers to German law and can be turned off. ### Is there a version for iPad, Mac or Apple Watch? Not yet. 4Work is an app for iPhone. ### Where is my data stored?
